Ditto on what he said. Sun is now coming up, a pretty day here in East Texas.  Haven't been on my scooter in a few weeks now as we were working up till dark every day after our other job, preparing for a special visit with my kiddos from California and Austin. Another grandson came in for the summer a few weeks ago and I promised Jaxon that we would go on rides together on my scooter as soon as we got this Birthday party over with. So, we had the big birthday bash this weekend so perhaps today we will get out on a ride. I told him however he had to wear all the gear for protection which means wearing grandma's gear. She's tiny and he's 12 so the size thing should work out. Just wonder how the lad's gonna do with some pink graphics on Deb's riding jacket?

Just jabbering Forbes. Hang in there buddy.

Forbes, I hope everything went well. How are you feeling? I'm in Myrtle beach, on vacation, but I was thinking about you and was wondering how you made out. Hope to hear an update soon. God bless you!!

Monday afternoon Amputation  successful. Physical therapist had me out of bed and using a walker to walk Down the hall a short distance on Tuesday afternoon. Surgeon just inspected and said it looks fine. Pain is manageable. MAY be released as early as tomorrow morning to continue rehab at my mother's house until I can become independent. Yes, I would have liked to have my OWN leg. But that's water under the bridge. Thankful it's s good as it is . God bless you all . Continue to keep me in prayer.

You're in my thoughts and prayers Forbes, You sound like a strong person and will no doubt rise to the occasion and do whatever it takes to move forward with your life. Are you OK financially? Man if you need some help let someone know as there are many here who I'm sure would be happy to help you, like me.

As riders we all know the dangers and risk that can occur the moment we throw our legs over our seats and start up for a ride. I think I can speak for all of us when I say the uncommon courage and bravery that Forbes has shown in not only openly sharing with us here on Kymcoforums the details and consequences of his crash, but his unshakable calm in facing the life changing decisions he had to make.

Many of us would not be able to do so. I know I would be a mental, physical and emotional mess.

I’d like to propose a Tribute, an Accolade or official forum Commendation in Forbes' name to recognize a member who has demonstrate uncompromising bravery in the face of the risk and hazards of 2-wheel riding. What form that may take should be open for discussion, but I’d be honored to sign my name
to anything physical, or even digital in its creation.

Thoughts?

Yes! Let's put a bug in Wayne Kreps ear for a classy sticker! Regardless of which leg, Forbes, whether yours or Lockheed's after market, you can still ride when you are ready! You can walk and resume life as it was. H'ray!

yes, Forbes, your strength and courage under these difficult circumstances should be an inspiration to all. It takes a special person to face this head on , like you have. I can only hope that the rest of us could deal with something like this with a tiny amount of the courage that you've shown. You are a man among men.
