I put new Metzeler FeelFree 120/80-14 58 S front tire. I guess that this is this bike first front tire change as old one was Maxxis from 3rd week of 2011. Odometer 29000 km.

I have 7200 kilometers on my 2016 and it's not near wore out. May change it just because of it's age.

29000 km on a Maxxis?  Curious how much different (better) the Metzeler rides...

After receiving an NOS tire dated 2104, I talked to reps at Heidenau, Revzilla and Midwest Traction.  All three said modern day tires properly stored were safe to ride at 10 yrs old.  The Heidenau manager said he was riding on tires from 2007.  Maybe the 5-7 yr limit came from the 80s-90s and materials/manufacturing have improved to lengthen the lifespan?
2014 BV 350  "IndiGO" (fast, strong and tireless)
2006 Honda Rebel 250  "Snow Leopard" (stealthy, agile and durable)
2018 Lance Cali Classic 200i  "Black Panther" (smooth, nimble, quiet and quick)
2016 Wolf V-50 (sold)

Wanted a Kymco, ended up w a Lance, but that forum is inactive, so I am here

I've read more than one post where guys felt ripped off because they received a tire that was 3ys old.
It seemed best to walk away.....I don't have the creds to dispute such long held misconceptions.

back in 17 when I replaced tires on my Ninja I was sent a front tire from Revzilla that was 2 1/2 - 3 yrs old. I immediately called about it and was told that I could send it back (probably had to pay my own shipping) but there was no guarantee that I'd get a newer one as they did not check date codes on new tires they shipped out.

I kept the tire and it's now worn out, need a new set of rubber, but the tire performed just fine, no problems.

I’ve bought and used tyres 5 years old because at most they’ll be worn out in 3 years. Never been a problem.

Repaired low beam lights (two halogen, two marker 'silver' bulbs) by replacing burned crimp terminal. This terminal was in adapter harness made by me to connect a cheap automotive relay that replaced a 30 dollar unobtainable Kymco relay.

I must find some decent LED headlamp replacements.....

I use ordinary halogen car bulbs from the auto-parts emporium. Seem to work OK . . .

Got up to 45 F. which is about normal for here on the coast. Got the Downtown out for some out of town riding.

Nice photo!
What mountains behind you?
Don't know much about Washington. Was at Ft Lewis twice for a couple days in transit to Asia...and visited my grumpy SIL in Gig Harbor twice.
I don't think I could poke along that road at my 30MPH cruise....

The mountains are the Olympic Mountains in the Olympic National Park. You can drive from sea level to 5700 feet in 17 miles up to the Hurricane Ridge lodge in the park.

Had the first ride since we were on CDT, daylight savings time! The clock proved it! Warm today, 64°F, light winds to dead calm, thirty miles round trip on a "honey-do." Was that ever nice!

I changed oil in front forks as I didn't know service history. I got nice red clean oil from right fork and not so clean yellow/brown oil from left one  ??? I put 2 x 185 ml of Agip 10W fork oil. I seems to runs smoother but that might be placebo effect.  ::)
