Location might determine some of that....where is the scooter being sold?

Had to repaint the exhaust leg cover again. The previous paint scratched easily and had the texture and hardness of a dusty chalkboard.

At last, a Kymco on here that looks a bit used like mine!  Getting a complex viewing all these pristine showroom pieces displayed on here.  You know who you are!...  ;)

Yes, well, turning 15238 miles recently prompted oil changes in engine and gear case spaces (sounds bigger that way!) on DT300i No. 2.
6000 miles on rear car tire which still looks new, TWI strips still WAY DOWN in the tread. I am right proud of my ride and it still shines but not as shiny as Stig's rigs! His are always showroom! Mine are working flightline...

6000 on a rear that still looks new under the weight of a 300!?
Your roads must be smooth!?.... or maybe you never sit down on it😊
As for keeping scooter clean, mom said always wear clean underwear "just in case".  I just extrapolate that to: tow truck drivers fishing my scoot back up the cliff😊 after my Big One...."what a clean scooter this guy had!"

You're forgetting Karl is a "dark sider".  He should get 25,000 out of that rear!

Replaced broken plastic CVT cover, bought used part, from bike that probably crashed sourced from Italy, filled up damage with
F211 Bodysoft - HB Body, sanded with 220 - 400 - 500 grit sandpaper and spray painted from cans.

This was some time ago, i have painted oxidized black plastics. I could have done a better job, but for the time & money invested i'm more than happy with the results.

I've used matte black paint for plastic bumpers in can

That's a really good job on the exhaust cover and black plastics. No need to aim for perfection, good enough is good enough.

I am finally replacing the battery in mine.    It was easier to get to it than I thought it would be.
