24 F.,this morning,   5 below C..,,    went out to the garage and the scooter started first try,. when I start on a cold day, I always turn the ign. on two or three times, We are getting a artic blast this week , 14 below C.,  I think I might need my Snap on battery booster, for the tractor snow blower,  don't think I will go for a ride for a few days,.  will have to watch for the globel warming,   send money to susuki,.

34 F.  rode 16 miles ,  did a visit, with old Bud.,  left there for the country side ride ,. 60 miles later got home,  Temp. dropped to 30  F.,  by then,  supposed to get a Artic vortex, soon 20 degrees lower than normal,  so it could get to 20 below C.,  ( 4 below F., )    have a good day.

Brakes still dragging, so I took them all apart, cleaned the sliding pins, re greased them cleaned the stainless steel that the pads slide on,  and when the rain stops,  I will test them for drag, and how they release, I don't use the brake much,  country riding mostly,  and I coast to a stop with little braking,.  that artic vortex is supposed to hit us sat. and sunday, it is going to hit all the way to Tenn. USA I hope it does not freeze the blossems on the fruit trees,.. that far south,

stripped down the whole rear brake caliper and gave it a good going over, it was in a bit of a mess, it now looks brand new (sort of!!)
now for the serious bit, regarding grease, what type would you guys recommend? i usually use silicone but i just thought i would see if you had any other preferences.
cheers
