Wow... That's gonna be tough to get out. It actually won't be an issue to simply leave it in there.

The oil pump is about 2 1/2" off the bottom of the case, and the plastic will not float in there. I'm sure it will find a cozy corner, and settle in for the long run.

Happy New Year Dee!

well I went to Canadian tire and bought some dino oil,. put it in front of the fire place to warm up,
and tried to flush out the piece of plastic,. but no luck so Ill take your advise Z. and leave it there,. at the same time I checked out my modded dr. pulley sliders 21/18  14 gram , cut down to 21/12   14 gram,.  they looked like new no wear, and it sure lowered my RPM. at high way speeds,. and the inner face variator is modded too,  I extended the slides where the sliders sit,. that counted for half of the lowered RPM.  wish I could send some Pic.s  brought up with pony express

I'm still working on a set of 4 yo Dr. Pulleys. Their life span alone makes them MUCH more economical than any roller out there.

I'm a fan for life.

Very nice.
I put an arrow on my SYM and have gone back and forth about a pipe change on the Downtown. Any difference in the performance ? I've found little difference with pipes and 4t motors.

The Scoot smart is what is OEM on the Honda Forza. Seems like a good tire......but is a very, very, very rare size here in the States. Most folks are going to a bigger City Grip when time to change as nothing else is avail. - unless you want to order thru the Honda dealer,,, and wait....

For Malaysia, the tire sizes on the DT is also a rare range.  So far i think we only have the Michelin Pilot Pure SC and Pirelli Diablos.

Every single DT i have seen that has it's tires changed are on the Pilot Pure SC.

After 4000kms on them, I do not like them very much. Tire choice are very subjective so this is based purely on my own reviews.  The PP SC i find lacking in feel and feedback. They do not feed me with info on the grip level of the road surface, nor the 'feel' of being planted at lean. For normal highway commute, I guess they are great in that genre, no tramlining, wear is good.

I have Michelin Pilot Power 3 on my Ducati 848, and those were fantastic, way better than the Bridgestone BT-016 Pro there they replaced. So I guess the tech behind the tires for superbikes isn't really percolated to scooter tires, even thought the marketing for the Pilot Pure SC claims it does.

The big difference is in the Radial vs Bias ply (bike vs scooter).
There are no radials in 12" so I'm stuck with what we get.

Some of the Pilot Pure SC are radial but in selected sizes. not sure what the ones for the DT are ply or radial.

Check out the icons in the characteristics:  http://motorcycle.michelinman.com/tires/michelin-power-pure-sc-radial

To add to my review, the tires are not progressive in the wet, meaning, when they break traction, it's immediate, there is no warming.
