According to Google, what I've just paid for diesel equates to:
(UK£ 201.9) per litre = 10.098 US$ per US gallon  Scary!

Neil, that's more expensive than any diesel in the US!  I drove a company car for 28 years and never paid for my gas. I never knew or cared what fuel cost! I miss those days.

The week I came home from Vietnam  - also marked driving my first car, purchased by my wife, to a gas station.
I'd only ever owned Honda motorcycles, and I'd never paid a dollar to fill one.
I paid $.32 for a gal to fill my VW buses 15 gal tank.
Later, during the long lines and gas rationing - I barely noticed!
Of course, minimum wage was $1.60.

That's not too bad - no reason to complain.  It's less than what I pay. Diesel is more efficient than gasoline, so your price is a good deal!
