Nitro and the scooter rider
« on: May 27, 2026, 09:52:46 PM »
I was paying for my coffee at Dino's on Memorial day morning.
Pointing at the brown bottle in my hand, Dino said, "what's that?"

I said, "that's Nitro - pills for the heart."
Ed, in line behind me, said, "how's it work?"

I said, "if I suddenly collapse and fall to the floor in here some morning - you guys take one of these pills, calm down, then call 911."

*i know, they're to be placed under the tongue. But these are at least 15 yrs old, and maybe they'll work as a placebo on the men.

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

I've had my own little nitro pills for a few years...just in case...but I've not needed them. I did give them to a nurse on an airplane who gave them to a passenger having a cardiac event in the air. That was pretty cool.

My doc also said to be aware they expire in 1-2 years so new ones are needed.
