Dr Pulleys in the house for the LIKE200i

Received the Dr Pulley slide weights and slide pieces six days after placing my order with Buggy Parts NW

The LIKE200i uses six weights and 3 slide pieces - BPNW tossed in a second bag of slide pcs by mistake.
Years ago the youtube for these Dr P's listed BPNW as their American distributor - so although they are widely sold these days - I've been buying from BPNW to insure I'm not getting knock-offs.
It's been a few years since I've ordered any new sliders - these are a different color these days.
BTW: I've never had a problem with Dr P's flipping over during operation.
I put in my first set 10 yrs ago - 11 months after purchasing the scooter.

  I've installed Dr Pulley sliders in all 4 of the Kymco scooters I've owned ('09 People 150, '12 GTI 300I, '21 X-Town 300i ABS, '23 People S 150i ABS). I have always gone 1 to 1/2 grams lighter. It gives me a little better acceleration for around town driving. Pretty much negative impact on top end or mileage. Maybe not for everyone, but for an inexpensive performance gain, definitely a good way to go.

I'd be fibbing if I said I remembered why I first went to 14g.

I know that years ago I tried some that caused my revs to be too high when cruising at 35mph. Sure, they gave me more acceleration - but at the cost of a busy engine.

I know that years ago I tried some that caused my revs to be too high when cruising at 35mph. Sure, they gave me more acceleration - but at the cost of a busy engine.

I’m w you on lower revs, don’t need more acceleration off the line.
Got curious about sliders, going to try em in the Cali 200. Stock is 13g, think I’ll go w 13.5g sliders.  Going lighter doesn’t make sense to me, but thought it interesting you went higher.

I like dealing with Buggy Parts NW - many yrs ago they were listed by the Asian distributor as the N. American source.
I know I'm not getting knock-offs when dealing with B.P. NW.
I hope they're still in business.
I tried my first set @ 13 yrs ago in my LIKE.
Sticking with the stock Piaggio parts in my Liberty - although the SoCal pros say I am missing out on much more zipp if I don't go higher/or lower than stock weights.
I like the performance just fine, stock.
Scooterwest claims a big improvement if I go non-stock

The LIKE200I was my first scooter. I used to take it apart for fun.
The Liberty is my 4th scooter. After reading that Piaggio had produced 900,000+ of this type over the years - ..... figured, well - who knows?
I'm happy with how they both perform - the Liberty rides better and has a better headlight - important to a guy who begins every ride in the dark; the LIKE200I has much better brakes, & mirrors now. They've both been given brighter rear lighting.

The “sliders vs rollers” debate is one of those that the more you go down the rabbit hole—the more experiences and opinions you read about—the less clear the answer becomes.

I’m perfectly happy w the way the Cali runs w stock rollers, so that would be the simplest (and maybe smartest) way to go.  But there’s that curiosity.

Did come across one convincing blog where he evaluated sliders wca tachometer, as well as riding experience, concluding that sliders were a noticeable improvement.

Given Stig’s experience and track record of being well thought out, gonna give 13 g sliders a try (for apples to apples comparison).  I’ll update after a couple months of riding.
