I don't have a scooter anymore so it's  time to go. I hope the forum lives on.

I was a member of a Honda Helix forum that was awesome...it had compiled years (decades?) of knowledge and info on the Helix. It was an older style format, even older feeling than our Kymco forum. One day it shut down...all info on it was lost. It restarted after a few weeks or months with no members and no information.

I sure hope that doesn't happen to this forum.

I was a member of an old Yahoo! group on telescopes, and when they decided to no longer support groups they let folks download any data from the files before signing off.

That's a great little video for trouble shooting a non running bike step by step. Pretty nice scooter for free!

Hello yes they are really great scooters. I would guess there may be a clog in the fuel system at the fuel pump or the injector nozzle. Our resident Like experts will be along soon Stig and Ruffus. Welcome to the forum!

A lot of the German and Czech scooters in the 50s had the "two wheeled car" like designs. Here is a Maico from that era...

Many years ago when I was in high school, my friend's brother's room mate decided he wanted a motorcycle. He had never owned one before but since he was older than us, he needed a "big bike". We had all been through smaller displacement bikes before buying larger rides. We went with him to the Honda shop where he decided that a new 305 Super Hawk was for him. Even the sales guy tried to suggest a 160 or similar. Nope not for Wayne he put his money on the line and got ready to ride. He fired it up and went right into a stack of tires on display! He got back in the car and sheepishly went home. My buddy rode it home and over time put most of the miles on that bike!

I had two of them a 1963 and a '67, they were both Westphalia Campers. The '67 was a pop top and they both were green.

I road those freeways to downtown LA in the late 60s on a modified Yamaha yds-3 cafe style 250. The traffic was bad then, but the smog was worse. Sometimes I would have to pull over and just let my eyes cry out the soot. I must admit that on my way home to the Valley the transition ramp from the Pasadena Fwy to the Golden State with expansion chambers singing was MAGIC!

I know that the newer Corvette with mid engine has better handling dynamics but I still prefer the front rear drive versions.

Glad you're still around Blue!
You bought an HD, and you ride the PCH, or am I mixing you up with someone else?
In any event - pictures of whatever you're riding ....or mowing with!

Stig

Nope no bikes of any kind (except pedal type), just still enjoy the read.
