It's obviously suffering from lack of maintenance.  The SQL server on a user forum like this keeps growing until it strangles itself.  The remedy is periodic maintenance to give the server a regular shave and a haircut. Perhaps the admin is off doing something else more important?

I was a member of a Honda Helix forum that was awesome...it had compiled years (decades?) of knowledge and info on the Helix. It was an older style format, even older feeling than our Kymco forum. One day it shut down...all info on it was lost. It restarted after a few weeks or months with no members and no information.

I sure hope that doesn't happen to this forum.

I was a member of an old Yahoo! group on telescopes, and when they decided to no longer support groups they let folks download any data from the files before signing off.

If you don't know who is the Admin, and there's no email contact, it can and will happen eventually if the Forum isn't being maintained properly. Admins are like the rest of us:  they live their lives, get old and feeble, forget to maintain the servers, go to the Old Folks Home, and eventually fade away. That could be happening today as we speak! We have no way of knowing what's going on "behind the curtain".  The only thing you (we) can do is keep returning to this topic until somebody hears us!

This is the first day in over 2 weeks I've been able to get on here!  Reading the comments it does sound like this could be a harbinger of something terminal?  It would be awful beyond words if all the collected knowledge on here were to be lost.  Any ideas Stig?
