Hello all, just a note to report on the sale of my beloved 2012 Kymco Like 200i LX. I sold it to a local older lady who also has a Honda 750 Shadow. She was overjoyed to get it since I have kept it quite pristine and mechanically sound. I sold it for $1800 bucks, not bad for a 10 -year- old plastic scoot! I hope you guys don't mind if I hang around here for a while even though I am no longer a scooter owner.

Hi all, here's a photo of a bike I'll bet you have never seen. It has a well- known scooter lineage, a 195os Lambretta 250 GP racer.

I'd like to give a hearty atta boys to SARGENT'S MOTORSPORTS of Portland Oregon. I recently had to order a body panel for my 2012 Like 200i and since Kymco has been working under Covid 19 conditions at their warehouse in South Carolina I thought it would take a long time to get parts. The guys at Sargent's got me the panel and gave me a discount due to the delay, they charged me NO shipping to my address! I always gotten good service from these guys even though I did not buy my scooter from them. Well done boys!

I arrived at a mark in the road today. I hit 10K miles on my 2012 Like 200i LX. It took a while to get the last 2K as I mostly ride for fun and errands. Still runs like a watch with only regular maintenance. ;)

I was researching the fuel pressure for the Like injection system and discovered this online service manual. It is an Italian Kymco site but with English translation. It is more comprehensive than the free version I already have. Take a look...https://www.ricambi-kymco.it/catalogo/Manuale-dofficina/like-200-i-Manuale-dofficina

This is the Willamette Heritage Center and Mission Mill in Salem. It is the oldest still operating cotton mill west of the Mississippi. The museum operates the old water-powered mill as an educational center. It was once part of the Pendleton Woolen Mills company.

General Discussion / RIP Dan Gurney
« on: January 15, 2018, 07:14:29 PM »
So sad to hear of the passing of Dan Gurney one of the greatest racing drivers and builders the USA has produced. His success in many forms of motorsport made him a legend on both sides of the Atlantic. He was the driver who first peaked my interest in Formula 1 and sports car racing in Southern California in the 60s. Fair winds Dan!

LIKE 200i / Dr Pulley Update
« on: July 27, 2017, 09:41:53 PM »
I went out today to do a shake down run on the new belt and Dr. Pulley slider installation. There is a definite increase in performance with the sliders. I notice more down low pull at start and I saw an indicated 66mph top speed with a slight down hill. The scooter will now pull 55mph at an easy cruise. The 20-30mph range there is slightly more revs but not excessive. I realize that part of the top end may be the new belt but 66mph was never attainable before with rollers when the scooter was new. So far I'm a Dr. Pulley fan! ;D

Hi guys, well I'm in the middle of doing a belt and roller change on my Like and I have run into the problem of the stuck CVT case. All the bolt are removed and I have tapped on the case with a soft mallet and pried in the designated spots but no movement. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks...
