Agility 125 / Re: MPG

I get 80 -85 mpg on my new (only 500 miles) Agility 125. This is all city, stop and go, driving where I seldom go over 40 mph. I don't do full throttle acceleration very often but I don't baby it either. I also use ethanol free gas.

Dale B

That ethanol free gas make a big difference. Wish we could get that here in Chicagoland.

I have 5500 km on my bike and have tracked every fill up. At best I get 76mpg. The odometer is in kilometers not miles. I usually get about 120km per gallon/fill up. Not to insult you but are your units correct.

When people post milage figures WAY over what I get on the same bike I have to ask.  How do you ride if you get that milage?? Down hill at 20mph with the wind behind you? :) :) both ways.

This last weekend I took the belt cover off and used compress are to blow out all the dust in the CVT transmision. After two rides I havent heard that grinding sound yet, knock wood. It might just have been the clutch slipping on the dust from the pads.

Good to know.  Thanks.

I drove 125km on 2.979L >>> 2.38L/100km >>> 99 MPG!

99MPG seems way high. I keep very acurate long term records and my average is 76 mpg, never varying by much. But where I live we have that 10% ethanol gas, which kills your milage.

I should have measured it. Do you have the wear specs handy? ???.

I ride it like I stoled it. Most riding near 40mph.

Also, everybody, dont forget to torque the bolts after assembly. I put all 8 back, finger tight, with the intention of torquing to spec after I got all 8 in. I forgot until after my test ride. I also used low strength loctite when puting the bolts back.

Mine does the same. Shows full until its almost empty. I take a piece of masking tape and put it on the display. I estimate that 120km from current odometer reading will put me near fill up time. That way I have a safety if the fule gage gets stuck. I also carry a MSR canister of fuel with me just in case.

It was the cover over the belt and clutch. I also took the air filter off to clean it. I got it off,...just used a bigger hammer.  FYI you do not have to remove the kick starter. The belt looked like new at 5500km. I just blew all the dust out.

I removed the 8 bolts holding the crank case cover on. I need to check the belt and cluch. I cant seem to break it free. I have hit it with a dead blow hammer and dont see anything else holding it on.  What am I missing? ???

Whats the secret for taking it off. It cant be that hard.

thanks

Tad

At 5500km I started hearing this noise occasionally. Now I heard it every minute or two of riding. I dont feel any slipping or grabbing of the clutch. I might pull the clutch apart this weekend and clean it out. Other than the clutch I cant think of what would be making that sound. Maybe of of the rollers is hanging up??

Performance is uneffected but I would hate to get stranded somewhere.

If anyone is interested, http://www.luckybike.com/servlet/-strse-608/Motorcycle-Mirror-Riser-Extenders/Detail is my current solution.  Should be here in a few days.  Hopefully these are the ones I need...

I would also be interested to see how they work. They seem a little short. I would want something even wider. Also Ebay sells similar extended for a little less $$. ???

As long as you can document the oil changes the warranty is good. I asked Kymco before I started doing the changes myself. Did you ever find the problem?
