I have a 2015 4 stroke

There was a purple wire (purple w/ red stripe} that I just removed from the wire harness.  no more RPM restriction

i have a 4t super 8.  the bigger jet works wonders.  i was amazed at the difference going from an 80 to an 82 made.

tell the dealer to change and it will help you.

There is purple wire or wire with a purple stripe.

Don't hut it though.  Just remove it from the wire harness so you can install later on if you want.
I just covered it with electrical tape

You want more speed put in heavier weights.  Especially with the 72cc upgrade kit.  6.5 or even 7 gram will help you increase your speed.

don't cut the wire just slip it out of the harness and cover it with electrical tape.
It was the purple one.

I have the the 2015 version and the issue is that it is a 4 stroke.  2 strokes have way more power.

There is a washer in the manifold that can be removed as well.  It will allow more fuel to pass.

The only other option for more speed and a 70cc upgrade kit and new rear gear.

Hope this helps.  I am about to do the 70cc kit on mine.

Just looking for any tips and tricks for this.  I have ordered and am hoping to install in the next week.

Purchased the folowing

https://www.scootertuning.ca/en/cylinders-70-90cc/850002-cylinder-kit-72cc-gy6-50cc-139qmb-qma.html

With the upgrade main jet and these little air filter box mods

https://www.scootertuning.ca/en/air-filters-airbox/6117-air-filter-supplement-uni.html?search_query=air&results=683

Not 100% sure what to expect but excited to see the results

Technical | How To / Re: Exhaust getting louder?
« on: September 17, 2017, 12:51:27 AM »
Hey Stig,

Yes the sound is coming form the front.  I didn't tighten everything till all screws and nuts were in place just like the instructions said.  Will try and take a pic with my phone and see what I can find. Just wondering if maybe I should use a gasket, plus some type of rubberized gasket in a tube to double things up.

Hi All,

I installed the Technigas Silent Pro on the 2015 Kymco Super 8 50R and it seemed ok at first but then I noticed that it seems to be getting louder and louder at the front of my scooter.  I did use a new gasket when installing as well and everything is tight.  Any ideas why it might be getting louder?  What else can I do?

Thanks

dude...

No need to hack the box.  Just remove the purple wire from the wire harness and cover with electrical tape.  So you can put it back if you ever get a unrestricted CDI

« on: September 03, 2017, 09:18:14 PM »
Getting ready to upgrade my spring and am trying to decipher which one to go with on my 2015 Kymco Super 8 50R (4 stroke)

My set up is as follows:

Piolini High Speed Variator (6.9 gram rollers)
Technigas Silent Pro Exhaust

The Polini says to go with a 15% stiffer spring but the issue is I do not know what the OEM spring is.

I keep seeing go with the red(1500) or go with the white(1000).

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

You will be fine after the higher octane gets in there.  We have Super (91) and Ultra (94) here in Canada.  I use the Ultra whenever available.

Typically you can look a the Agility 4T for the same parts.  The newer Super 8's are based off this model.
