Hmmmmmmmm.....I'm a Hemi guy, Hellcat has a nice ring to it. Might have to relocate the seat. Speaking of mods, I discovered the Fiat 500 is about the same wheelbase as a UXV 700, that would make a fun body change.

Suzuki SV1000 motor...stock. Didn't really feel a need to build it :)

It looks like a really smooth ride is it?  Atv

Yes it is :) Speaking of tire sizes, the ATV has 28's on 15" wheels. It also has 110 hp to push them.

Haven't had a chance to take it out yet with the mods. Had to pull off the a-arms so my fabricator could make up some new ones. Trial by fire, I have a race this weekend, we'll find out what it can do there!

Thanks! I hate to cut it out, but it was only a temp solution until my arms can be made. It sure is fun to look at though and worked great. Scroll down further and check out the ATV suspension, that's getting a bit wild.

They are a little heavier, but I need tough tires that won't get a flat when I'm racing. I would like to do 30" tires, but I think I would have to reinforce the entire drivetrain from the motor to the hubs to drive those tires.

Race Talk / Re: Lake Havasu WORCS Race 2015

Havasu was a rough track, it was survival of the fittest. Both the 700 and I survived though. Made some suspension mods and went to Sand Hollow for the next race.......MUCH better. I just put together what I could from what I had in the shop while I designed a better permanent solution. I should have the new system installed by next Wednesday and we'll see how well it does at Cedar City Utah that following weekend.

Below is a pic of my unique quick fix series suspension. 14.5 inches of wheel travel! Worked quite well for throwing random shocks on it.

Raced the 700 bone stock at the Lake Havasu race. Beat myself pretty good. Made some quick suspension mods for Sand Hollow a few weeks later, MUCH better. Now I am making a permanent suspension upgrade kit, hoping to have a prototype done in time for Cedar City in another week. 12" up front, 13.5" in the back running on Elka shocks.

So far, I have made a custom cage, added some more supports, added an aluminum roof and skinned a door. Added safety nets and race seat with 5pt harness. I deleted the bed and added 27" Motohammer tires on 14" MSA M21 Lok Beadlock wheels. It's coming along!

In addition to developing the suspension kit, I am also modifying the ignition and clutch. When I have things working good, I'll let you know.

aaron8, 60mph would be good.....or 70 :)

Good morning
Just found this forum and am anxious to hear anything about the utv 450i also.
Husband is VERY leery of buying anything from Taiwan (Chinese is a definite NO) Was also looking at Kawasaki Mule 610 4x4 but not impressed with 6.7 inch clearance and not having rear independent suspension. I will be the main user.  Have 75 acres mostly wooded and uneven terrain, plus hauling feed and cleaning out chicken house .  Any input on the longevity of the Kymco vehicles would also be appreciated.
Thank you
Judy

Don't hesitate to buy KYMCO. As mentioned, very reputable companies trust them to build quality parts and vehicles for them, they also build the Arctic Cat Trail/Sport. Very good machines.

I am fairly new to driving KYMCO's, but have been looking and researching them for some time. Everything I've heard is they are a solid vehicle with a good company behind them. Combine that with a lack of aftermarket support and that is why I chose to race them in the WORCS series and develop parts for them. I'm just starting, so give me some time, but I will be working through the suspension, bumpers, cage, seats and then motor/clutch mods. I have done two races so far, the first one on stock suspension and I absolutely beat the thing and it did the 45 minutes no problem, can't say I fared as well. Suspension is definitely a must.

Haven't had much chance to take the 450 out yet, but it shifts nice, is a little more compact than the 700/500 and seems like a nice vehicle.

I am developing a long travel, stock width suspension for the 700/500 platform. It will give you 12" of front wheel travel and 13.5" of rear wheel travel. The prototype arms should be done next week. The front end can be improved without the arms and just the right shock, but the back end is a bit more tricky due to the tight fit between the shock and axle.

I just put 27x9x14 and 27x11x14 Motohammer tires on my 700, works good for me.
