Thanks for the post.  You mentioned touring.  Do Kymco Grandvista riders ever go very far from home?  I've reasoned to myself that there aren't many Kymco repair facilities out there so I never go any further than my Automobile Club towing service allows (so as to have it brought home).  What are some of the experienced riders opinions?   Is it the case that I could get say a bad belt replaced at a different make dealorship?  I figure tires I could get, I'm worried about Kymco parts and expertice.  Are batteries available for my Grandvista 250 at other motorcycle/motorscooter dealorships?  Thanks.

Rich Irvine

I have had mine 3 years (4500 miles)  most of my trips are 6 miles just around town - have gone 75 miles a few times

I lost the bolt that is below the exhaust , it caused a bad rattle when missing - check that

I had the same problem - starter staying on after motor has started - replaced starter relay and it did the same thing - replaced battery with brand new battery and VOILA - fixed!

Also my top speed on the GV is about 68mph - i have the big givi windshield on and i weigh 290 lbs - i get about 50 mpg
Scooter indicates 68mph and gps says 68.

When its cold my GV takes a couple of minutes to idle down. I use only premium gas with no ethanol in it.

800 miles on the scoot now.

She is really starting to break in nice , acceleration to 60 is much quicker. I find myself speeding a lot of times.

The Iridium plug makes it a nice cold starting bike. Pops right off when cold.

Also the idle vibration when cold has gone way down , before it would shake my fillings loose!
