2012 Like 200i with windsheild
« on: April 12, 2013, 12:21:12 AM »

The dealer threw it on for free when I bought it.  I don't know what windshield it is, but it does a really good job.  The receipt showed it ran $199 at MSRP.  It just needs to be slightly raised as at highway speeds, I'm getting some wind buffeting at the top of my helmet.  I'm 5'6" btw.  I have not tried riding it without the windshield, but as with pretty much every other Like 200i out there, it tops out at 60 mph.  I only have 220 mile on the scoot so I do not have an accurate gas mileage reading yet.

Nice picu ! I have an ivory one with same w/shield. How do you keep the headlight reflection from blinding you off the bottom of your windshield at night? I had to put a strip of 2'' black tape across the top of the light.  >:(

I bought that same windshield and had the same exact problem riding at night with the bottom hanging over the headlight. A total pain and I'm out $100. Wish I would have shopped around for one. Love the Like 200i. I'm enjoying getting know the scooter and this forum is amazing. I've learned more in a few hours than I had in weeks not on the forum.

Here is a pic of the single strip of black electrical tape that I used.

I am working on trying to figure out how to block the light while looking a bit better than this.  I have a few ideas and will post up a response when I figure it out.

Nice windshield.  Looks good on a good looking scoot.

Instead of electrical tape, why not use black reflective tape? I would try also cutting the ends at a angle or a curve. Maybe even tapering it down a little on the ends.
