(
www.mdteam.com) is marketing Polished Alum. Treadplate (.026" x 12" x 24") for around $15.00. The current price for .125" THICK x 12" x 24" is usually $37.00. I found mine at Hobby Lobby so you can check with mdteam for your outlet. Place the Treadplate upside down on your work surface, then place your rubber footrest upside down and trace around the edge. Cut out with tin snips and file / sand your edges for a good fit in the panel depression. I placed some intrinsically placed
gobs of silicone on the backside and then screwed each piece with three # 6 or #8 self drilling, self tapping screws. Because the sheets are only 24" long, you may need to make two pieces per side. I gapped mine under the crash rail support bar. This is the same quality material they use on fire trucks, but since the loading is not heavy, this is a good choice as it's easily worked.
