Top Case Backrest
« on: December 30, 2012, 02:48:48 PM »
Well I did it. I ordered a silver 300GTI. I had a People 150 with a Shad SH-29 Top Case. I ordered a backrest from shad and put it on. I'm wondering if that backrest would fit the top Case that comes with the new 300GTI.

The SH29 backrest (#D0RI40) fits on SHAD SH29 and SH33 only.

Kymco made a deal with SHAD recently so new scoots that come with topboxes will come with rebadged SHAD
topboxes, but I'm not sure which one is it.

The one on Agility City 125 looks like it might be the SH29 or SH33.

Thanks for the quick reply Cortez. One more question. Are the factory topcases easy on & off like the Shads?

The old stuff isn't, and I've yet to see a factory installed SHAD case, but it's probably a good guess
that they'll be using the usual SHAD plate & mounting stuff so it should come off easy.

This one is fixed:

Guess I'll have to wait and see. I'm in upstate New York, so I won't pick up my new scoot until at least 1 April. I'm just antsy and want to pre-order some things now (oil filters, windshield (Biondi), reflective tape for graphics etc). I also want  to put lighter sliders in the cvt, but have to weigh the stock rollers to see what it has from the factory. This will be a looong winter for me. Thank you for your response, and I'm sure I'll have more questions down the road.

You're welcome, keep them coming.  ;D

Your rollers are likely to be 15gr, mine were 15.5gr (Downtown) and going to 14gr sliders did wonders.
