 ordered new ignition but still want to ride my scooter can't seem to figure it out? Any help would be apperciated.

I'm no ignition expert but, you have the coil, stator, and CDI. Any of those could be bad. Start by checking for simple things like damaged wiring or bad connections.

What model is your scoot?

To bypass your switch I need a diagram for the scoot you have so I can trace it back, but honestly to make your bike run with out an ignition switch on most bikes all you have to do is cut the kill switch to the cdi. Also the wiring for the ignition system is the same from a 50cc, 80,90,110,125, and a 150, just different colors and or plug shape differences if any change.

If you are sure your cdi is ok, I'd be looking at coil connectors, (google coil primary and secondary winding resistances) once you've done this, if you haven't got a spark, the fault can only be on your plug or ht lead

If all other advice given fails to yield a spark, you need to check your stator pickup coil/ Hall Sensor. This is a small coil on the outside of your stator. basically it is a permanent magnet rod wrapped with copper wire. As the raised plate on the stator passes this coil just prior to TDC a small amount of voltage is produced (.5 to 1 volt is acceptable) This sends a signal to the CDI to release the stored voltage to the coil. I have had 2 of these go bad on different scooters in the past 5 years.

To test simply disconnect the single wire that comes from the Pickup coil. Usually there is a single connector if you follow this lead up under the bike (likely need to remove the seat). Take your ohmmeter and set it to AC, put one ohmmeter wire into the line going to the Pickup coil and ground the other ohmmeter wire to the engine block or a ground wire nearby. Crank the engine over and read the pulse voltage. If you don't have close to .5 volts there's your problem.

Mu last failure of the pickup was just 6 months ago on my Super 8-150. When Cranking I got .19 volts and the plug would not fire. I bought a cheapo GY6 coil assembly off ebay that included this sensor it was about $13. The coil was not designed for Kymco's but most of the single wire Sensor Coils are the same. So just leave yourself enough wire and cut the new sensor off the new coil and solder and shrink wrap it to the wire on the bike.

A wire fed directly from the positive connection on the battery to the coil may get your bike going. I say "may" as it was a trick showed to me that would start a military land rover if the keys were lost
