Oil Service Light on
« on: September 11, 2012, 02:30:05 PM »
Hey all! Cross post from the XC250 forum as I know this group is more active

New rider here with a question. Yesterday the Oil Service Light came on. I have read the manual and checked all fluids which are at good levels. Had the oil changed about 1500 miles ago. Any thoughts as to why this light came on?

2009 XCiting 250, 3300 miles

Thanks, its good to be here!!

It's supposed to tell you when to change your oil, nothing more then a mileage counter.

With key on. Press and hold oil warning reset button for about 2-5 seconds. Light will go off. I think it comes on every 2,000 miles or so? :-*
