Nevermind, looked it up and already believe the spacer in the trans was removed and the rev limiter definitely was removed.

If your Super 9 easily goes up to 45-50 mph then it has been derestricted!

Thanks, it does
Just want to mod it to go 55 but rpms a little lower as to pick up a few mpg at higher speeds. 90% of my driving is at top speed

Go with a Malossi variator. It is the best all around var. IMHO. It will add 5-7mph top end, and get there quicker

Part No: M 519988 SPI gives a 10% discount if you mention Zuma/Kymco forums. He has the BEST price anyway... He is THE importer.

Just confirming, this kit will increase top speed while lowering top speed rpms? Is there a down side to this kit? Sorry, just never had a cvt trans before.

You MAY have to change the rollers to get the RPM's you want. Every scoot/rider is different. There is NO down side to this part if installed correctly. Rollers control the engine rpm. The var controls how quickly it runs thru the gears. One gram @ of roller weight adds or subtracts approx 500 rpm's

Is it a tough job to install this kit? I have rebuilt Puch mopeds for years... this is quite different. And what about this longer belt?..... what will that do?

montage vario Malossi (ancienne référence !) SYM GTS 125
Fitting a belt is tricky. It MUST be equal to the top of the rear pulley, and sit SNUGLY on the drive boss. That is the correct length. If it does NOT sit at the top of the rear pulley it is too narrow, and you need to go wider. If it is NOT snug on the drive boss you need to go shorter. Once those parameters are correct you have the right belt. Longer belts will travel higher on the Var. but you loose take off speed if it is too long. So to start with just check to see if yours is correct. Just because it came with the scoot does not mean it is the best one for performance.
