refer to your owners manual , there should be a maintenanceb schedule provided .

i dont have it... and  i assume tat since we r in section s8 150 and everybody has same scooter so will be all same tho no?

yes , it should be the same . I was thinking if my dealer was telling me the warrenty would be voided if I didn't have them do the service I would be careful to go by the book and keep careful records . good luck .

so after how many miles should i change gear oil?

Do the gear oil every time you do the engin oil.

The manual calls for the gear oil to be changed at 300 KM, then every 3000 KMs after that.

My new scoot has just reached its first oil change... 90wt oil for the gear... what about the engine? I think 30wt... My manual went missing on my first day, I set it down to read it and it was gone.. all I know is that I took it out of my "glove" box when I drove my scooter home its first day... didn't realize I paid for the leg accessory on my manual.  Does anyone recommend a specific type of oil? I have always used synthetic in all my vehicles with fantastic results 100k miles later.  I am hoping my scooter also likes synthetic for the long haul.  I have always preferred Mobil 1 for synthetic but all the rating I have read were for cars... not scoots.

It is depend upon your style of vehicle as well as capabilities of riding. I would like to say that after every three months it is  very necessary to change gear oil. It is just assumption.

Well, from my point of view it is important to change your oil after some miles. You have to change it after 1000 or 1500 miles.
