aren't these usually checked with the dipstick pushed in but not screwed in? I think that is a Honda thing from long ago..and these scoot engines continue it to this day.
Yes, manual should clearly state.
Piaggio - screw it in. Kymco - don't screw it in. At least my models.
BYW: i am amazed at the accuracy of the question/answer google app on my phone.
