2014 Like 200i not running properly

Hey all!

2014 Kymco Like 200i with 4500km

I've done a lot of searching and attempting to fix my Like 200i with no luck. I purchased the scooter not running properly and the story goes that the chap purchased it early 2025 running great. Rode for about 5 months no issues until one day it just stalled and wouldn't start again. He had it in the shop and has replaced a bunch of parts to no avail. It would run until warm then fail.

I have found some issues with the vehicle and thought I had it going well. Took it for a ride about 5km and it wasn't reaching above 80km/h. Then started to bog down and slow down until it finally stalled and lost all electrical power. Pulled the main little fuse out and re-inserted and the electrical power came back on. Managed to ride home but not at full power.

I cleaned the injector after getting the scoot home, and checked the fuel pump. Found it was disloged and rectified this. Ever since, it runs like absolute gaaaarbage. Sputtering, won't accellerate. Back firing, small puffs of black smoke out the back if I try to rev it up. Spark plug is as black as night with carbon.

Parts replaced:
- O2 sensor x2
- Spark plug x3
- Fuel lines (in and out of tank)
- Fuel pump
- Ignition coil and lead
- Throttle body (apparently by previous workshop)
- ECU (apparently by previous workshop)

Some issues found/fixed along the way
- Fuel pump hose in tank was disloged from pump, have recified
- Injector was missing a retaining clip so it was not seated properly
- Cleaned injector a few times
- Checked valve clearance, all okay

The engine light on the dash appears to blink 10, 24, 25. I have replaced the ebay O2 sensor with a second hand genuine one, disconnected the battery and done resets and code clears, restarted the scooter and it is still running very poorly.

Any help would be much appreciated. I have ordered a new injector and waiting for it to arrive but I thought I'd check with the gurus here for something I might be missing.

CODES:
10 ...injector faults; does ECU send proper signal to injector?

24/25...O2 sensor malfunction - out of range/ too lean or too rich?

I know you have the fuel line cleared - because the rotting line in the tank can send all kinds of junk towards the injector.

Let's hope no one has been "adjusting" the factory-set throttle body.

Intake manifold cracked, leaking?

Report back, please.

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

Welcome here!
Lot of things done.
In LIKEs case you cannot built on fault-codes, they indicate only a certain bigger area, not a specific culprit.

There is a wide/big connector on the ECUs side.
-take it off tenderly
-check ALL pins whether they are straight
-flush with WD40 or similar
-reconnect carefully

Battery area:
-check for corrosion
-off all cables inclusive fuses
-renew fuses

Regulator/rectifier:
-does it charge the battery properly, 14.5VDC

Ignition coil, cable plug, sparkplug:
- all out again
- replug eyerything from beginning
- NEW sparkplug!

O2 sensor:
- all four cables intact, not bent
- connector ( both parts) in good shape

Fuel pump:
- is there a mesh filter directely on the pumps lower end?
- pump produces enough pressure (3bar~)?
- pump.is tested?

Throttle body:
-if the YELLOW sealed screw was removed you will need most probably a new assy
-throttle cable slack a few mm?

Air intake:
-airintake hose (which leads to airfilter) completely off for now.
(if not messed with, TPS regulates itself)

Muffler: not clogged by rodents?
Good luck
