Riding season finally open
« on: May 06, 2026, 07:50:21 PM »
May here in Syracuse, NY. Took my scoot off the battery tender and rode up to the local dealer for my NYS inspection. Felt great to be riding again!

Not sure about the smaller ones and electric bikes, but anything that requires a license plate has annual registration, inspection and insurance requirements to be legally driven.

"Inspection"!!?  Now that sounds like a mafia racket if ever there was one!  They used to have that in the 1950's in third-world countries like the UK & Germany, but I didn't think anyone is still doing it in the modern world!

My scoot only has 2000 miles on it, and I just bought new City Grip II's for it. Inspection took 12 minutes and cost me $6.
