My family owned a large Chevy dealership for years...and my Dad used to tell me that back in the early 70s both the local Honda and Toyota dealerships were offered to them, for basically free. They turned them down....because why sell a cheap joke of a car? If they'd only known.....

My brother managed a Porsche, Audi, Honda dealership for years. I recall him saying that the Accord
wagon was the only pig in their line-up.
Honda brought USA dealers to Carmel, CA, to display the new Ohio built and a Japanese Accords side-by-side. He said the tires were the only give-away. The rascal also got to play the Pebble Beach golf course as one of the perks out there!!
