I don't mind doing tires on 2 of my 3 bikes (with my riding schedule I check tire pressures before every ride)....but the Helix is awful.
When I had new tires put on they didn't have a 90 degree valve stem for the front and there is no room to get a regular hose on there. I have to add the screw on 90 degree extension before adding the 12" hose. (both carried in the Helix trunk in case of a need out on the road)
90 degree extension is not ideal due to need to screw it on. I have to slightly overinflate (1-2 lb) to compensate for the air lost during the unscrew/removal.
If you don't need to screw on a 90 I find the hose with the fitting that you lock in place is best as it minimizes any air loss. Pic shows 2 hoses connected.
