do you carry any specific ID on you when riding?
« on: January 24, 2026, 03:33:03 PM »
Not to be morbid...but do you guys ever wonder how you'll be identified or how loved ones would be contacted if you were severely injured in a crash?

I wear a rubber bracelet with a metal tag on it with my full name, address, wife's name and her cell number on it. Sure, they may find my driver's license on me or get my address from the license plate (if it is still on the bike)...but that doesn't give them any contact number. These bracelets are geared more toward runners and hikers but I feel better wearing it and never ride without it.

How about you? Any identification purposely placed on you or in your clothes?

Inside my armored jacket pocket is a slip of paper from my insurance co. on which I've written my NOK info and blood type.
I also took out a hefty accidental life ins. policy that pays for loss of life, or loss of bits 8)

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

My cellphone (Apple) has an ICE (no, not that one) facility "In Case of Emergency" with NOK information and contact number*, but I like the look of that bracelet Hawk.  I will research.

* So even on screen lock you can see an Emergency option bottom left of the screen.  Touching that opens an emergency call screen (for 911 / 999 / 112 calls) then bottom left of that screen is a medical ID option which lists NOK, contact numbers, medical conditions & Blood type.
