Brake caliper rebuild
« on: December 04, 2025, 07:12:27 PM »
I'm rebuilding a 2002 People 50 2T. What is the correct front brake piston seal part numbers and where can I get new seal for the front brake caliper (caliper part # 45200-KFA6-9000)?  I can not find the correct part number for the seal as it's not listed as a separate part. I guessed and bought a seal (part # 45209-PWA1-900) for a comparable assembly, but it was too small. Any ideas or correct part number information and where I might find them? Thanks in advance.

Well, that's a pretty old scooter - and I guess your local Kymco dealer was no help?
Yeah - small parts from an Kymco "assembly" are rarely listed.
Can you get a measurement on the old one?
Ebay lists a lot of seals.

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

Hey Mac,

I am rebuilding a 2000 Kymco People 50CC 2T as well.  Did you ever get seal that you needed?  I bought a used caliper on Ebay since the original piston had some rust pitting.  I haven't tested it out yet with brake fluid, as I just yesterday got the engine to run.  :)

I'm happy to discuss what I've found so far re: parts etc.
