tried a new water-proofing product on my gloves
« on: November 29, 2025, 05:12:07 PM »
Heard about this stuff for years.
Finally quit trying to find the magic spray that would protect the electrics in my heated gloves when I do one of those , "it's raining AND it's cold!" rides, which I do frequently for some sort of weird therapy.

Amazon got this stuff to me the day before my rain ride, Wednesday. I applied it, buffed it and let it dry for a day.

Well, I think it worked better than anything else I've tried. Water did not get to my hands, inside. And, importantly!, it did not smear my vision after the frequent wipes of my visor!

The L glove is worn over a battery heated liner - the R has it's own battery.
My gloves are off and own so frequently for photo taking while out on cold days - there are no wires to fool with. Just pull it off and pull it own.

You DO pay the price if it is VERY cold and you remove gloves for a snap!! You might get to your destination before your hands ever get comfortable again

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

I applied it again to my gauntlets the night before that storm ride. The leather became wet, but not "wringing" wet.
The moderate temperature kept my hands some getting cold.
I also like how it doesn't smear my visor after my frequent wipes....
I think this is my go-to product for my gloves.
