Roller Weights
« on: November 18, 2025, 10:24:56 PM »
Just picked up a 2006 xciting 500 and have all the service items to give the scooter a make over but does anyone know the specification of the original roller weights? Thinking of putting lighter ones in to improve initial acceleration.

Thanks.

Lairyskippy welcome here!
Congrats to your XC 500, guess you got the carb model? Good and fast scoot.
OEM 29/22-33gram

Just a word of advice from someone who has been there. Pull your scooter apart and physically check which rollers you have now. After that I suggest Dr. Pulley sliders either 1 or 1.5 grams lighter. Quite a noticeable difference low end performance in the 3 scooters I've had so far. No noticeable top end loss either. Cheap and fairly easy performance gain.

Thanks everyone for your replies and advice, it’s much appreciated. I’ve had motorbikes all my life but this is my first scooter so it’s a new world! 😜

Good call Ruffus. I just realized and corrected my error. Grams not ounces!
