DTX360 - Final Drive Gear Oil Change

Just considering getting down on my hands & knees* to do this job as the scooter is nearly 3 years old.  I'll let you all know how this goes.  (I hope posting this will provide me the incentive finally to get my arse into gear and do it!)

* Would it be great to have a hydraulic work bench, but at £500-ish I'll stay on my knees!

Maybe you consider doing it on two days, first day warm her up a bit and drain it, next day fill it.
A kneepad might be helpful.

I use a large 1" thick black rubber exercise mat to kneel and lay on now when I do any work on a scooter.
With a roll of paper towels under my head - have been known to doze off on the mat while waiting for oil to drain!

I think I related this story about purchasing the mat. I went into Dick's (sporting goods) and bought the mat. At the cash register were two lovely coeds, one in training. They gave me kudos for buying exercise equipment at my age....."Good for you!, that is a great sit-up mat!"

I chucked all the way to my truck! "This baby is never going to see a sit-up!"
