Mystery Button On Xtown 300i
« on: September 09, 2025, 01:22:13 AM »
New 2020 Xtown 300i owner and can't seem to find what this button is. I admit I may be blind to it being mentioned in the owner's manual but I have not seen it there, Google, images of other Xtown 300i, or folks on Reddit.  So now I ask here if anyone is aware of what this button is? I've flipped it back n' forth but it doesn't seem to do anything.

Underseat light switch?
Regulates remote seat switch?
Regulates motion alarm?
I is on, O is off.....international electrical signage.
Let us know when you find out!
BTW, welcome to the forum!

looks like an aftermarket switch, not Kymco factory. Do you have pics with the seat open or removed to get a better look at it? Have you tried tracing the wiring to see where the wires go? That may give you an indication of its function.

Aftermarket switch to activate/deactivate METIN-light/charge socket, my guess. As hawk says, try when your seat is open..
Have seen this before, people chose because its convenient there and already prepped.

Agreed Hawk, certainly didn't have one on my X-Town!
