Fuel level
« on: August 28, 2025, 09:47:25 PM »
I really love my '23 People S 150 except for 1 thing. The small fuel tank. I usually fill it up twice a week no matter what the gage reads. I forgot last week, and when I got to work the orange fuel pump (dash) was on and the gage reading was low and blinking. I made it to the gas station. My question is: How much fuel is left when the low fuel indicator comes on, and approximately how many miles until I run out?

that always seems to be a question on vehicles...how far until truly empty?  I think the best way to know is to carry a small fuel can with you and run her until she's empty..noting the miles run since the fuel light came on.

Totally guessing...but a tank is maybe 1 - 1.5 gallons?  70-80 miles per gallon? If a pint (16 oz) is left for reserve....9-10 miles?

Agreed. The small tank is the biggest annoyance for me too. I keep a 20 ounce msr fuel bottle with me all the time. It is ridiculously small so i dont waste much space in my underseat storage,  but i figure there is enough there to get me to a gas station for the places i tend to ride.

10 miles sounds about right to me as well.  1.6 gallon tank on it. Its too small, but i remind myself of all the underseat storage there is.
