I arrived home from my coffee ride just as my daughter was exiting her car after her night shift at the hosp.
She shook her head.
"What?"
"Someone at the hosp. came in and said it was "like a monsoon out there!"
She said she thought to herself - "well, then, I know where my father is."

It was pretty sporty in town - very dark, car lights, reflecting pavement, blowing hardish rain~! - So much so that for only the 2nd time in memory I missed my turning to head out of town. Had to make a U-ie.

(*) in my defense - we've had a depressingly long spell of dry mornings!
(told my daughter, "monsoon" was a bit of an exaggeration. "I've seen monsoons - that wasn't one.")
