Interesting to see how this plays out. Will the Chinese cars come next? (Chinese brand, not just built in China)
2010 People S200 - sold after 8 wonderful years!
2014 Ninja 300
1996 Honda Helix
1984 Honda Nighthawk 650

Happening here in the UK already with "MG" as the spearhead.  Other more openly Chinese car brand sold here include:

I don't believe we have any Chinese branded new cars for sale in the US (?). We have some traditional brands (Buick, Volvo) that have models assembled in China but sold under non-Chinese named brands. Surprised to see many available for sale near you, Neil!

Aaah, yes - but Honda wins my vote with their adverts!

Now, guess what part of this official promo wins my heart?
....and no it's not the bikini scenes
(goodness they sure know how to promote their products - thinking of that great Lou Reed video, shot on the streets of NYC,  and the one that got it all started in the USA, "You meet the nicest people on a HONDA!"

again, guess what part of this makes me s m i l e!!

for me - it is ALL about how I feel when I approach my scooter first thing in the morning. Hard to put a price on that - so, I don't.

even a great batch of adverts for Kymcos wouldn't work in the USA. Young American riders are never going to flock to a scooter - no matter how clever the adverts.

Stig
then there's my 2nd favorite

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

I'm going to hazard the rain ride and him on his knees in the downpour as my guess Stig.

A complete re-run of the Japanese incursion into the British bike market of the 60's!

Not even close to the same thing. Keeway is entirely owned by the CPP. Honda and Yamaha were private businesses. Keeway is making an exact copy of the Honda SH engine. Honda and Yamaha were smart enough not to clone Bonnies and Lightnings. Keeway is marketing to people who want a Honda but can't afford one. Honda and Yamaha marketed to people who wanted to be able to keep riding even if the sun went down.
Been riding for a very long time.
