I might try to sell mine for the same price and it has 7,500 miles with two new tires. I might get the brakes done at a shop, bleeding, new fluid. Pads should be pretty good.

I might even sell it for less.

Are you buying something else or something new? A month ago I felt I will never sell this bike. Ever! Love it so much! But my wrists, elbows and lower back are hurting a lot after I ride and even during the rides. My hands go numb go numb pretty quickly when I ride for some reason.

I did buy a Kawasaki Vulcan S 650 ABS. I tend to replace my bikes every 3.5 years or so.

I am pricing my AK just below mid point between KBB and JD Power retail pricing and trade-pricing. That is usually an accurate value IME. There are always those who are looking for a garage sale or bargain basement deals but this is not that. I wait for someone who will actually appreciate what the AK 550 really is... NOT Chinese junk.

We don't do scooters in the USA, and if we did we'd be looking at the known brands of Yamaha, Honda and Suzuki. Vespa if we're image conscious.....all of which are recognized names and thus hold a predictable resale value when used.
Kymco makes a fine $10,000 scooter. Reselling a used one puts the burden on the seller, with little help from the name - KYMCO.
It's different with the Japanese 3.

Seems the asking price for a (relatively) high mileage AK over here would be £4,000-ish or $5,400 USD.  Hence my comment about it being a steal at $5K
