Joe is a different kind of fellow. Years ago, he says he was a 'roadie' for various famous rock bands, The Dead, etc.
We met years ago in Y. S. over coffee at dawn and scooters.
He has 7 or so elementary school painted Toyota wagons, which run; an ancient tow truck; a pristine '51 BMW w/Sidecar; Honda Reflex.....and a radar-speed sign.
Joe is Mr. Fix-it in the village.
When the police dept decided to replace their broken portable radar/speed sign - Joe acquired it.
He fixed it - and sometimes tows it into the village and parks it downtown.
He says he does it to "troll the speeders" driving though the village. The speed limit through the center of town on State Rt. 68 is 25MPH.
Yesterday it was parked in front of his house on the entrance into town.
My daughter tried to snap a photo as we went to Y.S. for lunch.
The lights flick through too rapidly to catch a good image....but....
I've tried to get a snap from my scooter as I pass his house each time - but I'm gonna wreck if I keep trying!
