Canceled tomorrow's rain ride - epic storm
« on: April 05, 2025, 06:40:07 AM »
Sitting up watching the severe storm rolling through the Ohio valley tonight.
Had planned for one of these tomorrow on the LIKE200I..

But there will be much flooding along my route, and tree debris as well.

Went out and plugged the battery tender back in.
Looks like it'll be a better day for waffles than riding.

Hope no one is hurt tonight. They're been warning about tonight's storm for days.

Radar image this evening.
Flooding must be very serious in many areas because this system coming from the Gulf of Mexico just keeps tracking through the same parts of the U.S.

The rain and thunder last night were wicked - poor pup had a bad time of it.

Well you can keep that lot over there Stig! Not to rub it in, but we’re into the second week of blue skies & unbroken sunshine here. With temperatures in the late teens to early twenties C, it’s perfect scootering weather. Hoping to get out again later.
Regards & ride safe,
Neil

Rain's gone - then it snowed over night!
Cold again today.
OK for pup walks - I'll wait on the scooter.

Yes there were tornado sightings in that storm!
Fortunately - as I sat up to "protect" the family until 3:30AM as it rolled through - our local tornado siren never went off.
A 30 yr old woodframe house? What to do?
Get in the heavy Equinox in the garage?
Drive away??

One took out a town center over by Yellow Springs years ago.
Upshot is - that town center is now all very modern!

No.
One area in the hall has 4 doorways.
With the doors closed, a mattress, that's our "safe area"  at night.
Daytime, if we could see where it is - we'll get in the car and drive.
