Camshafts
« on: April 04, 2025, 07:43:50 AM »
Does anyone have any real specs of the camshafts available for the GY6? A9, A10, A11, etc.

The only useful thing I can find is lift, and thats useless without timing.

I did find 'angle in valve alpha' and 'angle between valves beta' if someone knows what they mean.

FWIW, GY6 timing is fixed,  so the topic might be moot :-)

Cam timing, i.e. the timing (degrees) when the valves open and close.

Timing is fixed.  You'd have to regrind the camshaft to change the timing.  Realistically, you'd have to buy a replacement cam, but they all have standard fixed timing, so it's an unlikely remedy.  Some GY-6 engines can use an ECM module with variable spark timing, but they don't work on all GY-6's.  You'd have to experiment.
