Kymco servicing in the EU

So im looking to buy my first bike, i want a 300cc scooter due to the practicality, cost, and sufficient power. Probably an xciting or downtown since they seem good all round and theres few other options in my area rn, at least under 2500€... outside of italians which i dont trust

One thing i dont find a lot of info about is maintenance cost, available parts, and general servicing difficulties/prices of kymco in europe. Compared to some of the more common stuff around here like burgmans or beverlies. Can yall share experiences? Esp regarding the 300cc scooters


On an unrelated note, how come the xtown and xciting 300 dont have their own categories on the forum when the downtown and people300 do? Been eyeing a 2012 xciting 300 and just noticed it got no page on this forum

Just post your 300 stuff in the Downtown category - and it will be read.
General, works, too - put 300 in the subject.

Further, KYMCO does have the same  maintenance and repair costs than any other brand like SUZUKI, YAMAHA, PIAGGIO, and so on, if you take your scoot into a shop for all of it.

A tire is the same price for this or that model. If you are able to do your scooterjobs on your own, KYMCO might be the better bet, because spareparts are a little bit less expensive than from other brands.

Plenty of used parts available here, just have a look.

Hi Madnomad,

I owned an X-Town 300 and the engine is derived from the long-running Downtown 300 which has proved to be pretty bulletproof! 

Home maintenance is easy enough for even a rudimentary skilled mechanic like me and judging by the posts on here, excepting crash damage, they require little other than routine maintenance to carry on for 70,000 miles or more!  I'm now on my second Kymco (a DTX320) and I've developed quite a fondness for the marque.
