I always preferred analog odometers for this sort of thing.  It's cool watching all the digits rolling over at once.

It's good to see someone racking up some miles on a small scooter.

Completely agree.  Prefer digital speedometer, however.

for us novices --- that's a Suzuki.
Too many numbers, letters, etc. for me to keep up with on all those bikes.
Manufacturer names are a big help to me!

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

No, I rode it in for it's 135k service and brought it home in pieces in a crate, that was 20 years ago, I bought it new in '99 and proceeded to put 35-40k/yr. was highest mileage SV in world (at least reported by dealers and people that participate in internet forums) for a while.

At 135k service, valve guides were toast, suspension toast, needed more work than value of bike, it became a dream project, and still sits in pieces. I was offered a deal on a brand new V-Strom 1000 that I couldn't refuse, that has become another project of it's own and now I ride a K-Pipe & AK550
I even made the Suzuki NA Dealers Newsletter and a gift card from Suzuki that was enough to buy new brake rotors for the front

That's way more miles than I have put on a motorcycle.  My highest was 87,000 miles on a BMW R1100GS.  I was planning on doing over 100,000 miles but an encounter with Bambi ended those plans.  My highest mileage current bike is my 2012 Versys 650 with nearly 35,000 miles on it.  I don't ride it that much so I doubt I'll get much over 50K on it before I replace it.

my '07 V-strom 1000 is about ready to click over 100k if I ever get it on road again

another bike with amazing mileage on it...and even crazier (to me) is riding a big bike like that in the snow! I can't even imagine doing that. More power to you!

I also have an old Yamaha XV920R with about 70k

easier to ride in snow than you might think. #1 keep your feet on pegs and resist the urge to use them as outriggers
# 2 tires.  drill stud pockets in a big block knobby and use regular car tire studs inserted with pneumatic gun. In back, darkside winter car tire

I ain't really that great a rider (plenty experienced though) speed scares me, but plugging along 35-40 mph on a dark snowy night is relaxing. I do live in a rural area, and the snowier it is means less/non existant traffic

rideing in snow/ice/freezing rain, makes you smooth
