Shifter malfunction
« on: February 03, 2022, 10:34:12 PM »
So I am at the country dumpters for our end of the Tennessee outback to dump trash and the thing won't shift into P..ark. the H shift light stays lit and the shift stick feels free as a breeze. Dump and jump in, go home for inspect and repair.

Out come the seats and center hump. The bolt on the shifter shaft has backed out! Simple fix with a dab of screw lock and back to normal!

(Yawn..)

Had a similiar situation but found it before it came dissconnected...I f you look in the manual there is an adjustment proceedure to align everything.  Quite simple really.  Make sure the jam nuts are tight, another adjustment behind the tool box comming thru the dash.
