our thoughts and prayers go out to Kansas Kymco
« on: November 08, 2021, 01:26:50 AM »
to the Kymco forum family....Kansas Kymco messaged me today letting me know that he had recently suffered a stroke and that he was getting better one day at a time. He asked me to let the others on the board know.

wishing you the best, Kansas Kymco. Take care of yourself and get back to full speed. We've definitely missed you here, lately. Hoping for a quick and full recovery.

Get well soon.
I know what you are going through. I had a stroke last fall. It was the worst pain I have ever felt in my life. I had a blood clot moving through my brain from the rear to the front on the left side. I was hurting so bad, I was screaming at the top of my lungs. I finally went crazy and had security called on me. My wife protected me and would not let them hit or tase me. Someone finally got some needles in me and knocked me out. The doctors gave me some powerful blood thinners. Apparently, it dissolved the clot in my brain which led to my recovery.
I was in a comatose state for two and one-half days. I lost my speech and short-term memory.
Over time I recovered.
I think I had about 200 people praying for me. The prayers must have worked. Now, months later I`m almost fully recovered with no paralysis.
Good luck to you.
Guys, keep a close watch on your blood pressure. Long story.

I pray that Kansas Kymco receives and cherishes God's message and courageously accepts the challenge of recovery.

I have had a stroke=ain't fun.   My case took me 6 months to get pants on right....now several years later, 98-99% ok...made it to 82 and planning to future.   Had to teach myself to ride bicycle and scooter again---their PT useless for my life style...really designed for fat people who never did anything.  Hang in there.

I'll make only this remark : Do not check yourself out early - do not skip the physical therapy. .

Sorry to hear. Does anyone knows how Kansas Kymco is doing ?

My own family on father side has a history of strokes and weak vaines. My younger sister passed away after a stroke at age 41. For what it’s worth,  I started taking an Asprin dayly many years ago - hoping it will help avoiding a possible stroke during my lifetime.

Anyway, I hope Kansas is doing well and on his way to a complete recovery.
Life is a journey. Just spend some time, and enjoy the trip.
