Trip to TRIESTE and MIRAMARE Castle
« on: September 28, 2021, 07:21:56 PM »
Scooterweather today, like always here.
Thought to have a trip to Trieste and its famous Miramare Castle.
This castle was planned by Archduke Maximillian of Austria, brother of Emperior Franz Joseph II of Habsburg, long-time emperor of Austrian Hungarian Empire. His brother Max started from here his Mexican adventure, to be emperor of Mexico, which lead to his sudden death by execution.

Thanks for sharing the photos Ruffus!
Especially enjoy the ones with scooters in them (your scooters, or city scooters)
Seems almost every one is a  larger wheel scooter!
Thanks again,
Stig

@Stig yes, now you mentioned, scoots here mainly  are "big-wheeler". Might have to do with easier riding up on sidewalks, which is pretty usus in cities to leave car jams behind.

Rufus the irony of Italy and all the scooters and most of the world's supercars.  Just watched a program  featuring the Bugatti  Huayra.  Hard to imagine  a 4 million dollar vehicle.

@Kk yes there are some really posh vehicles around here in Italy. A former collegue of mine retired to Italy too. He's in his late seventies now, but still nursing his Ferrari, I think it's a Portofino. Looks sometimes strange when he tries to get out at a winery where we meet once in while to sample new arrivals. But it was his sole desire to have this car during his retirement. Think he covered last ten years about ten thousand kilometers.Service is done by his mechanic of confidence, who is nearly his age!!! When it rains I have to pick him up by my car......red beauty could get a cold😅
