I always assumed that this is an oil cooling radiator?
Found this photo years ago when visiting LIKE owner's club web in the Philippines.

Hot piece, would cool some degrees for sure. But IMO strategically (airflow) not optimal positioned. Might be interesting how the guys went into oil circolation. I think I read somewhere about an adapter for this oil(meshfilter)plug.
