Grand Dink 150, restoration / painting cont....
« on: August 02, 2021, 02:56:14 PM »
Since I'm pretty sure that, my Grand Dink  150 will not become a collectors piece, I thought why not putting some funny color on it instead of this boring black-blue which it got from an previous owner.
 Mirrors I fancied in a nice "alert-yellow".
It's seen from quite a distance away.
Higher GIVI windscreen is a must for me. There were no mounting accessories available, so they were made from 4x40 mm aluminium band.
An inexpensive topcase gives at least the impression, to be a little bit cared for.
All in all a nice ride, waiting for Dr.Ps sqare rollers and then will be enough of investment, which will never pay off at a sale.
Happy and safe scootering, Ruffus

Hey that's looking good to this non-aficionado viewer Ruffus.  Looks to me like you've done a great job there and not all restorations have to be faithful to the original, express yourself!!
Regards & ride safe,
Neil

Ruffus - Not a fan of the yellow red and blue combination.  About 20 years ago (in fact my first scooter) was a cheap Chinese scooter with yellow red and blue combination.  It was a bit to colorful for my taste. It did have a factory remote start and alarm system.
In parts 200S and Grand Vista and my motorcycles 2 CS BMW'S and one GS BMW.

Sold-32 Kymco scooters of various sizes this summer.

Nice job! You happy, I'm happy! Since paint schemes from Kymco are pretty limited several here have done some really nice color changes.

The body parts are quite small so an armload of rattle cans get a nice, consistent finish.
