Kill switch?
Fuses?
How many miles on your scooter?
Recent crashes?
Has it sat for a long time?

anything getting through the injector?

If you're able, and if you're very serious about keeping this scooter - you could invest in a subscription to www.cyclepedia.com ....then start a maintenance ticket with their technicians.

In any event  please respond to our questions...we'll help as much as possible.

These machines are really nasty if they won't start.  It's a common problem, so I'm not surprised you got it so cheap.  Friends of mine have tried to fix Like 200i's but failed.  The solution is always the same: sell the machine for parts. The only solution appears to be to find a dealer with the diagnostic tools needed.  With the diagnostic tools it's an easy fix, but without the diagnostics, you'll never figure it out.

Maj Tom:
Thank you for your response.. fuses are good I replaced them.. kill switch? Unsure of where it is located.. it did sit for a while.. when I got it it was on its side..the guys yard reminded me of sandford and sons.. to me it does not sound like it is getting thru the injector.. I was sure after spraying starting fluid it would fire up and hopefully blow the bad stuff out.  No such luck.. I read somewhere about an inertia switch/ tilt switch.. lemme go check my mileage.. regarding the diag tools how much do they run? And where could I purchase one?? Maj Tom  if u gave me your email I would send you a video of it cranking  .. it just sounds like no fuel...injector reads with in specs

KILL Switch....that red switch on the right handle bar.
If that baby is in the off position - it won't run!
And yes, there is a tip-over gizmo under the seat - to shut off if you go down.
If that is your problem - it would be the first ever reported here....but certainly possible if the scoot was living on its side!(geez!)
Kymco diagnostic tool is pretty much not avail. and runs over $200 I think.

We have seen that if a LIKE200i from @2012 has sat unused for a length of time - the short fuel line on the fuel pump in the tank can rot....collapse, or partially collapse and send rotten rubber gunk to the injector to block fuel flow. But....seems like it would still fire with starter fluid shot into breather ???...or no?
Let's hope Kill switch is just in wrong position.
As for video - put one on youtube and better minds here than mine can listen, too.

I'll look for where the tip-over thing is.
Sensor Angle Detector....looks like this
one on ebay
"nos Genuine Kymco Dink Xciting MXU Maxxer Angle Detector Sensor 35380-LDF2-900"

What a sweet deal! Good machines! Wife had one and we toured with it many miles. Yours has been neglected so will take some doing to reverse the aging/neglect but it will be worth it. Stig is one of the forum experts (no, REALLY!) on the Like, so he is a good guide.

Take and post pictures and keep asking questions!

It appears that the "tip over switch" is up front probably under the leg shield. It is #35380 on the chart.

@Socalrokk13,
since LIKEs technical setups might be different from continent to continent...
I had until now three EUROPEAN LIKES (MY 2009 -2013) nearly completely dismantled and did NOT find a kill switch or an ANGLE SENSOR SWITCH so far.
So I would start with basics.
-pls check.for spark
-reflush injector and fuel lines
-no fuel delivery, pump out and clean the tank
-check how much fuel is delivered by your pump
-battery fully charged
-jump start cables from a car battery/ car  motor not running
-check brake switches at your brake levers
..not brake lights, no start!
Don't start too long each time, a few seconds only, for starter motor saving.
If there is spark and fuel and no one has messed with ignition or timing, your LIKE will start.

Good point Ruffus,
I shouldn't assume that everyone knows how to start a scooter.
Key ON, pull brake lever (either one), push start button on right handlebar .
Look at brake light. If brake light is not lit when pulling brake lever and key on....you've probably discovered why you've a No Start.
Little brake light switch is faulty.

Rock stated that it had spark and good compression. If he has physically checked for spark, that would remove any electrical gremlins like kill/tilt switches. Is that the case?
 Where in so cal rokk?

My Euro3 Kymco Sento confirms it doesn't have a kill switch or angle sensor switch (or side-stand kill switch)  These appear to be USA features.

I would check the fuel pump/regulator assembly.  Liddo  is correct if it has spark and cranks it's not a electrical problem.   Even if the pump still  pumps fuel it has to be the correct pressure for it to run.

This is assuming yours is FI and not carburetor.
In parts 200S and Grand Vista and my motorcycles 2 CS BMW'S and one GS BMW.

Sold-32 Kymco scooters of various sizes this summer.

No reply from OP in two months.
Paid $150.
2012 scooter found laying on its side in a junk yard ??

Although this would be a great project for Ruffus or Iahawk.....and - in spite of Joseph's always encouraging c__p - maybe we've  lost our enthusiasm down there in Ventura, CA ??

Me, I'd like to see that 2012 in-tank fuel line.....
