Exaust upgrade
« on: June 29, 2021, 04:18:31 AM »
Good afternoon / good morning everyone

For my next upgrade on my scooter I think I am going to switch out the exaust with an aftermarket muffler. Anybody have any reccomendations on anything that is a direct bolt on to the stock exaust setup?

@aschrauth, here in Italy we have had good experience with LEOVINCE mufflers. Don't know whether they are available in US.
But: although they are certified in EU, some state requirements  burden you with an additional emission and sound check to hv your ride street-legal. Check this out before you buy an aftermarket piece.
If you do have fuel injection, the missing temp sensor in its exhaust pipe could cause trouble too...

On a 4 stroke >> Noise!

Engine designers at the factory just don't get it.....noise equals speed!

In the 60's I had a Honda in SoCal with a Hunts tomato can on it - went like the wind!

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

You hit the nail on the head Stig, I want to be herd. Unfortunately people where I live do not pay attention to motorcycle drivers I wear full reflective gear and still people have almost hit me. Plus the stock exhaust has a catalytic converter in it that weighs a ton.
