Fuel Gauge
« on: March 27, 2021, 01:27:23 AM »
Recently I have noticed that Scarlett's fuel gauge has started something different.  Instead of full at "F", on fill-up, the needle points well left of "F"  and never goes much below 3/4 level after 60 miles.  From the parts diagram it looks like the fuel tank has a float and a sending unit in it to measure the fuel level.

Any ideas on what may have happened?

Has anyone adjusted or replaced the sending unit?  Not to concerned about it, just curious.

Thanks.

can't offer much help with this other than to say that my gauge has never been very accurate. If you do need a new sending unit they don't appear to be too expensive.

My gauge seems to not budge off F until tank reaches half full.
